Overview
W.A. Robotics is the official site for Woodward Academy robotics, FRC 6925. The repository README says that in one line. The live site is warobotics.vercel.app (opens in a new tab). The app is Next.js with React and Tailwind, deployed on Vercel.
Problem
The team needed a public site of its own: robots, the program, and an open-alliance section, with the team's existing social accounts linked from one place.
What he built
Routes in the repository are the home page, /robots, /program, and /open. The site's data file links four team accounts: Instagram @w.a.robotics6925, YouTube @6925_W.A.Robotics, GitHub WARbotics, and The Blue Alliance page for team 6925. Those are team channels, not personal accounts.
The robots page is fed by a data file in the repo that names the 2024, 2025, and 2026 competition robots and the team's photographs. This portfolio does not reprint that page's award list. Awards there belong to the team record on the team site.
Process
Local development is npm install and npm run dev. The README's deploy notes are the ordinary Vercel path: import the GitHub repo, framework preset Next.js, build npm run build. An optional NEXT_PUBLIC_SITE_URL sets the production domain. The package.json in the repo pins the framework versions the site was generated with; this page names the tools and leaves the pin in the repository.
